Project Overview

The Project outputs include 

  • construction of new irrigation infrastructure, including nine small dams , 31 diversion weirs, and approximately 95 km of main and secondary irrigation channels 
  • improved on-farm management through construction of approximately 144 kilometers of lined (concrete) watercourses, terracing and land leveling on a command area of about 4,600 ha, along with installation of rain and stream gauges to measure water availability
  •  improved watershed management on 5,000 ha 
  •  efficient project management and evaluation, including establishment of project management and project implementation units, 

Our Services


· Define the hydrological/hydraulic/structural/electro-mechanical/geological, geotechnical design criteria,

· Extension and generation of meteorological and hydrological data,

· Geological, geophysical, and geotechnical investigations shall be integrated to the topographic maps

· Carry out structural design of structures

· Prepare topographical maps at the appropriate scales and contour curves

· Prepare recommendations of water allowance, irrigation intensity and cropping pattern

· Prepare bidding documents, assist PMU/PIUs and IAs in bid evaluation reports

· Economic and financial analysis

· Prepare, review and/or update social and gender, resettlement, environmental and socio-economic studies

· Prepare operational manuals for all the major structures; provide training during design and implementation

· Identify risks associated with design assumption and approach, proposed construction methodology and sequencing

· Advise PMU on mode of procurement conducive for attracting local bidders


· On-site supervision of the contractors’ works for compliance with the specifications

· Put in place a comprehensive quality control program including detailed methodology for inspection,

· Prepare Environmental Management Plan (EMP)

· Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports from quality control, quantity survey
